Nurse

The school nurse serves as the health advocate for all MSK students and staff. The focus is on the promotion of healthy living styles and the prevention of illness and disability. Her primary responsibilities include: making sure that all student health records are current; performing health assessments; observing students for developmental and health patterns and developing a health care plan; participating on the Student Study Team; administering medications; and providing for crisis intervention for acute illness, injury and/or emotional disturbance.
